The Chennai Public School Pre-primary Day Care Center was established to take care of the needs of the working parents of our students. Children assemble after classes, take their lunch and have a short nap before the commencement of the activity sessions.

Children are engaged constructively in interesting activities such as art, music, dance and sports. They are thus inducted into extra-curricular activity even at this very young stage and develop multi-varied interests while waiting for their parents to come and pick them up after their work. The minimum age for enrolment is two years as we believe that upto 2 years the child must necessarily be comforted at the hands of his/her mother or near relatives.

Adequate staff has been provided to take care of all the children in a safe environment. They have been trained to respect each child as an individual in its own right without the need for regimented care. The child is offered the maximum freedom of movement within the norms of its security. The development of its personal skills is closely monitored such as eye hand co-ordination, power of observation and audio-visual recognition.
