Eligibility Criteria
a. Pre Primary
To be eligible for admission, the child must fulfill the age limit specified below:

• For Pre Primary II, the child must have completed 3 years by 31st December 2024.
• For Pre Primary III, the child must have completed 4 years by 31st December 2024.

b. For Classes I to IX & XI
To be eligible for admission the student must qualify in the CPS Scholastic Assessment Tool (CPS-SAT) and satisfy the norms specified by the school.

Admission Criteria
Admission is based on the performance in the Interaction/CPS Scholastic Assessment Tool (CPS-SAT). However, admission shall primarily depend on the availability of seats.

Pre Registration
Parents can pre register the admission enquiry in the school website by furnishing the required details.

Notifications with respect to the opening of online application portal will be communicated to the registered mobile no.

Procurement of Application Form
Application forms can be procured ONLINE from the school website. Watch the easy guide video here to know the steps to procure the same.

Application Form is non-transferable. However, the issue of Application Form does not guarantee admission.

Submit Online Application Form
The Online Application form shall be submitted along with the following list of documents:

• Recent Passport size photograph*
• Birth Certificate*
• Residential Proof*
• Parent's Employment ID Card /Business Card*
• Community Certificate (mandatory for communities other than General)
• Student Aadhaar Card
• Recent Report card/Mark statement/Equivalence Certificate
• Passport and Visa(For Foreign Nationals only)
• OCI/PIO Card (For Foreign Nationals only)
• Medical Certificate / Doctor's prescription (For medical ailments, if any)

Incomplete form will not be processed.

Note: Original School Leaving Certificate/Transfer Certificate should be submitted by the end of April. (Applicable for classes II to IX & XI).

Interaction / CPS Scholastic Assessment Tool (CPS-SAT)
The date of INTERACTION for Pre Primary will be intimated by SMS / E-mail. The child should be accompanied by the parents.

Students will be assessed on the following subjects in CPS Scholastic Assessment Tool (CPS-SAT) for the below mentioned Classes.

a. For Classes I to III: ENGLISH & MATH
b. For Classes IV to V: ENGLISH, MATH, EVS, II LANG (TAMIL/HINDI)
c. For Classes VI to IX: ENGLISH, MATH, SCIENCE, II LANG (TAMIL/HINDI/SANSKIRIT)
d. For Classes XI: SCIENCE STREAM: PHYSICS,CHEMISTRY & MATH
COMMERCE STREAM: ENGLISH & MATH

The syllabus for CPS-SAT is based on the class in which the child is currently studying. Selected candidates will be intimated over phone / SMS / E-mail to appear for the one-to-one interaction with the Principal. Parents should accompany the child for the interaction round.

Payment of School Fee & Other Details
School Fee should be paid within 3 working days from the date of admission confirmation. Admission stands cancelled for applicants who fail to pay the fee on the stipulated date. No further enquiry or request in this matter shall be appreciated.

Mode of Payment

For Pre Primary to Class XII, School Fee should be paid Online/Demand Draft drawn in favour of "Chennai Public School".

Uniform, Text Books and Note Books
Regarding Uniform, Text Books and Note Books, details of Distribution Schedule will be intimated through SMS/E-mail. In case of admission withdrawal, the fee paid towards Uniform & Books will not be refunded.

Cancellation of Admission
In case of cancellation of admission by the parent for whatsoever reason may be, the fee paid will not be refunded.

Office Hours
School Office shall remain closed on all Sundays & Public Holidays. Fee shall be accepted between 9.30 a.m. and 3.00 p.m. on all Weekdays & 9.30 a.m. to 12.00 noon on Saturdays.

Parental Co-operation
Parents are requested to co-operate in all our School activities. The students must be encouraged to take part in all the extra and co-curricular activities organized by the School.
Parents are not permitted to enter the classrooms during the school hours. Prior appointment should be sought to fix an appointment to meet the Principal/ Vice Principal between 2.30 p.m & 3.30 p.m. With prior permission they are permitted to meet the Class Teachers and the Subject Teachers between 3.30 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. They are expected to attend all Parent Teacher Meetings and collect the assessment report without fail.
Parents are requested to pick their wards in person; otherwise they should depute a responsible person with a letter from the parents authorizing the person.

Change of Address
A record of the address of the parents/guardians is maintained at school. Any change in address or phone number must be communicated to the school office without delay.
