To be eligible for admission, the child must fulfill the age limit specified below:
b. For Classes I to IX & XI
To be eligible for admission the student must qualify in the CPS Scholastic Assessment Tool (CPS-SAT) and satisfy the norms specified by the school.
Admission is based on the performance in the Interaction/CPS Scholastic Assessment Tool (CPS-SAT). However, admission shall primarily depend on the availability of seats.
Procurement of Registration Form
The Registration Form can be procured from the school by paying a non-refundable fee. Registration Form is non-transferable. However, the mere issue of Registration Form does not guarantee admission.
Registration Form for the academic year 2017-18 will be issued from Thursday, 1 December 2016 onwards between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Incomplete form will not be processed.
Note: Original School Leaving Certificate/Transfer Certificate should be submitted before the commencement of the academic session in April for classes I to IX & XI.
Interaction / CPS Scholastic Assessment Tool (CPS-SAT)
a. For Montessori/ Kindergarten
The date of INTERACTION will be intimated by SMS / E-mail. The child should be accompanied by the parents.
b. For Classes I to IX & XI
CPS Scholastic Assessment Tool will be conducted to gauge the student's level in the following subjects:
a. For Classes I to III: English & Math
b. For Classes IV & above: English, Math, Science and II Language
The syllabus for CPS-SAT is based on the class in which the child is currently studying. Selected candidates will be intimated over phone/ SMS/ E-mail to appear for the one-to-one interaction with the Principal. Parents should accompany the child for the interaction round.
Payment of School Fee & Other Details
School Fee should be paid within 3 working days from the date of admission confirmation. Admission stands cancelled for applicants who fail to pay the fee on the stipulated date. No further enquiry or request in this matter shall be appreciated.
Mode of Payment
School Fee should be paid by Demand Draft / cheque in favour of "Chennai Public School".
Note: No post-dated cheques shall be accepted.
Uniform, Text Books and Note Books
Regarding Uniform, Text Books and Note Books, details of Distribution Schedule will be intimated through SMS/E-mail. In case of cancellation of admission by the parent for whatsoever reason, the fee paid will not be refunded.
Cancellation of Admission
In case of cancellation of admission by the parent for some reason or the other, the fees paid cannot be refunded.
School Office shall remain closed on all 2nd Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays. Fee shall be accepted from 9.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. on all Weekdays & 9.30 a.m. to 12.00 noon on Saturdays.
Parents are requested to co-operate in all our School activities. The students must be encouraged to take part in all the extra and co-curricular activities organized by the School.
Parents are not permitted to enter the classrooms during the school hours. Prior appointment should be sought to fix an appointment to meet the Principal/ Vice Principal between 2.30 p.m & 3.30 p.m. With prior permission they are permitted to meet the Class Teachers and the Subject Teachers between 3.30 p.m. and 4.30 p.m. They are expected to attend all Parent Teacher Meetings and collect the assessment report without fail.
Parents are requested to pick their wards in person; otherwise they should depute a responsible person with a letter from the parents authorizing the person.
Change of Address
A record of the address of the parents/guardians is maintained at school. Any change in address or phone number must be communicated to the school office without delay.
